I honestly wouldn't go with either. Go with an exedy or Jun unit. AL flywheels are bad news IMO.

sometimes dropping 450 on jsut a fly is not a reasonalbe thing to do. with all of the people on this board that are running the alum fly, i think that if there was a serious design flaw we would know about it by now.

Hey, what do you guys think of the JGY flywheel?10LBS and only cost $269

I was thinking about getting one when I was looking for a flywheel, but decided on a stocker when I couldn't find any reviews on it.

i'm sure it is fine. but to be honest, i'd find a shop that resurfaces flywheels and ask them how much it would cost to lighten the stocker for you.

hey, I dont know where you guys are located but, I know of a very good engine machine shop in georgia. it is KMS (I think thier web site is honda-performance.com). I have a 91 civic and they lightened its flywheel for 130 dollars shipped. the flywheel was 20lbs stock and they took it down to 13lbs. He will do other part other than honda. I met the guy and he is very cool. I think that this is a very wise choice over an aftermarket piece. the amount of money you would save you could put toward another part.

$130 dollars!?!? Holy crap thats high, or at least it is to me. I was going to have my stock flywheel resurfaced and about 3 lbs shaved off of it. The machine shop quoted me $40, and it's a reputable shop too. Maybe it just depends on the area.

the shop here took 7 lbs off and all I did was ship it to them. perhaps it does depend on the area. Im not sure.
