Am I just throwing away money installing an ACT steet cluch on a stock kae? I dont plan on modding it(rather save for a swap) But my clutch is pretty much gone. Are there any benifits ACT can provide me Exedy cant with the power im putting out? Would I be better off going with exedy which is 112 where ACT is 305???Thanks guys

Exedy, if I recally, is a stock replacement clutch? If so, it should have no problem holding up to the power that your stock KA is putting out. It really depends on if you like your clutch to grab tight or be able to slip.

i knew this one dude who had a stage 3 ACT clutch on his civic, and he blew the clutch up so bad that they were flying threw the firewall. That's only on a civic, now imagine putting it on a more superior car. I say go with exedy, you can't beat oem replacement, my bro has a clutchmaster oem replacement on his fastback, it really suck compared to my exedy.

When my clutch went out, I just bought a stock replacement, it was only 95 bux and I don't plan on modding the engine anymore than I/H/E. The rest of hte mods will be suspension mods, so I don't need the extra holding power

I put the ACT Street in my '95 SE w/ jus exhaust and intake. It felt GREAT. I would recomend it to anyone. ACT is one of the better clutch makers out there. I have never ever heard a complaint from an ACT clutch.

I've heard more than a few complaints about ACT actually. WHen I was looking for a clutch, everyone told me to go with a Spec Stage One

I've heard more than one complaint with Spec clutches...maybe they all suck :D Or it's operator/installer error.

yeah you really hafta look at the installer when someone starts complaining about it blew up or somethin. Its not always the installer, but Ive seen some honda boys do some pretty retarded s*** to make their cars work, I cant beleive they dont break down more often.

Personally, just from what I have heard from the people I talk to (there are alot of them w/ honda's and nissan's both) they basically have been saying SPEC and ACT are the best clutches that they have dealt with. I know many people running ACT's in their 240's with nothing but praises for the clutch. Then I have heard great things from people running SPEC's in their 240 also. It really does depend on installer error and how hard you drive it I think.

I like to be different. Enjuku really seeemed to like the spec clutches and highly recommended it so I decided to try them out. Thus far I have loved the clutch. It was way overkill for the ka though. I'm sure an act or spec street clutch would be awsome.

i just ordered a spec stage 2, but the only clutch i can speak from on from experience is exedy, my friend has a hybrid civic w/ and exedy clutch, not sure what stage. when i was driving it he told me to drop it between 6500-8000 rpms (which i did several times), he is crazy, but anyway that clutch grabbed HARD! although that doesnt say too too much about them, just my 2 cents

Thanks for the replies. I think i'm going with exedy. I dont think I need something with as much clemping force as ACT. Thanks again.
