I am putting on my ACT clutch and the pressure plate doesnt seem to want to line up with the flywheel. The clutch for for a non-turbo 300zx so it should be the right one, but the bolt holes dont line up for **** and the pressure plate is bigger than the flywheel?!?!?

Has anyone else used this clutch with their rb20? If so, did you have to do any modifications to the pressure plate to make it fit?

Another thing is, I am using an r31 (redtop) flywheel. Does anyone know if an r31 and an r32 flywheel differ?

Thanks.

It's either the r31 flywheel or they sent the wrong clutch

I remember reading that someone said one of the holes won't line up with the N/A 300zx one. On that note what TBearing do you use? the N/A 300zx one too?

I just double checked the part numbers on all of the items in my clutch kit....and they are all correct according to ACT's website.

I will be using the 300zx throwout bearing as well. I read on here that someone has a 300zx non-turbo clutch on their rb20 and it bolted up...so idunno whats going on. It could be the flywheel.

Can someone please post a pic of an r32 rb20 flywheel?? I need to compare it to my r31. Thanks.

i used the RB20 flywheel and Z32 NA clutch, one of the dowel pins did not line up but all of the bolt holes did. i had to file the holw about 1/5th an inch to get it onto the dowell.

but ALL OF THE BOLT HOLES LINED UP. the dowels are just for alingment, the bolt holes are MUCH more important.

ill dig around for the pics of my rb20 flywheel after i had it resurfaced.

Thanks for the info, it must be the r31 flywheel then. If you can still post that pic up of the r32 then that would be great. And if Yellow4G63 or anyone else has an rb20 flywheel they wanna sell, please hit me up at [email protected]. Thanks guys.

How can you tell if your engine is an r32 or r31?
