What goin on im new to the nissan world and have always wanted to build a 240. I came across this car and had to buy it. 1991 240sx, 150k, 5spd, no rust at all and no body damage. Car sat for a year with oil pan unbolted and kid said it had a motor noise. Well I picked it up for $300. cleaned it up a bit and decided why not just pop the pan back up and see whats the damage. After getting pan back up and putting the halfway torn out engine together I was able to get it running. The good new no motor noise. Noise comming from trans area and sceems like the clutch is the problem. was able to drive it again my parking lot but was grinding pretty bad. Not to bad for $300. 2 days later i went on a mission to find a SR swap. came across one that was 2.5 hours away, long story short kid delivered me motor on stand, trans, harness, ecu, and a bunch of other parts for $850. Yea i know why so cheap? kid just wanted it gone. I guess right place right time. cleaned up motor and trans took some stuff apart and worst thing so far is turbo needs a rebuild. Thast where im at now. Long road ahead but deff off to a great start. $1100 bux so far :bigthumb:

Don't you hate it when you purchase a your car and then a few weeks later you check the ad listings for the same car you purchased and realize its a better deal... It happens to me far too often...

Great Start

Enjuku's ER spec package is a good deal. But in my opinion, you dont need a few of the items listed. I wouldnt buy the autometer boost gauge, or the e-fans. I would also recommend a better clutch than the spec stage 1...

But either way, its not a bad deal..

Spec makes a good clutch, i just wouldnt buy a stage 1.

Competition Clutches are great too

Good clutches for an SR... hmmn the list goes on and on lol... theres SPEC, Centerforce, ACT, Exedy, etc. But i do agree with babbob if your gonna buy an aftermarket clutch mays well get a stage 3... Also i wouldnt go with the enjuku basic swap package just because you can find most of that stuff alot cheaper elsewhere... like ebay. Also idk whats wrong with an autometer boost gauges like babbob said (i mean they are only the best gauges) and also i would go with e-fans... you get more power without the heavy clutch fan bolted onto your waterpump pulley! People can argue all night about which one is better blah blah blah... but the point is... you make more power by reducing weight of parts that spin! Like driveshaft, pulleys, flywheels, harmonic balancer, etc.! I can recommend the cxracing cooling parts like radiator, and FMIC kit... plus the FMIC kit comes with a SSQV BOV... not hks but a knockoff... My buddy dustin has the cxracing fmic kit on his SR... plus the CXRacing fmic comes with great tclamps like most others dont... Also will reccomend the apexi power intake kit for the SR20... best intake filter on the market (currently) is the apexi power intake cone filter... i know i been going on and on lol... so im gonna stop here > :gapteeth:

While i wont argue that they do make a decent product, but ive owned 4 different series of autometer gauges in the past. The only series that i didnt have a gauge fail within 6 months was the C2 series... I dont think anyone would argue with me when i say this, but if you have the cash Defi is the way to go...

While i will say that some of what Ali said is true... but some is a bit embellished and opinionated

You should look up Stack Gauges. They are race proven and have extremely accurate in my car. My Power FC and my gauges almost mirror each other.

I went from clutch fan to dual e-fans. The bay looked better imo, other than that I felt no difference
