Hey all. I'm going to be getting an 89-94 240 fastback when my taxes come in. I know what I want as far as the car is concerned, but I was wondering about how easy it would be/ how legal it is to import JDM parts for her. I want her to (eventually) be RHD with an RB engine. I don't know if I'll put a Skyline clip on this one or not. I'm also not going as far as "ricing" it out. Just a simple body kit with a good set of wheels. I fully intend on making her a daily driver. Any help would he greatly appreciated.

Hi welcome to NICO.

1) I don't know about your location, but here in CA, JDM parts are a dime a dozen. If you don't have any shops near your location, you're probably looking at online orders. I'd try to socialize and get some contacts of people around your area. You never know, you might have a local importer. As far as legal goes, it all depends on your state's law. Here in CA, practically everythings illegal lol, so lets say I don't base my decisions on legality.

2) if your car runs fine, I'd leave the engine alone and build up on the suspension. Most likely suspension arm bushings (actually all the bushings) are all cracked and need to be replaced, take that time to either replace the bushings themselves, or do what I did and just replace them with race suspension arms (easier, but costs more). You'd be surprised how fun your car can be with some low offset wheels and a built suspension, even if your engine is less than 200 whp.

I'm in the Houston area. What suspension bits did you use?
