accleration problems , help me with this please

hello community , im new here , i just buy a 2000 maxima se and i noticed that the car have a terrible problem with the acceleration , the car doesn't rev more than 4500rpm , and today i changed the fuel filter , clean the maf with the crc maf cleaner , change the air filter and it was worst than before :wtf2: , then the cel come on , i read the code with my own obdII scanner and just have 1 code , it says - system too lean - , can anyone help me with this cause im getting a little crazy with the car , thanks for looking

Welcome to NICO.

It's obvious that you did not do a thorough inspection and test drive of the car before buying it. You have to be specific which Bank is showing LEAN. Bank 1 or Bank 2. The trouble code could be P0171 (Bank 1) or P0174 (Bank 2). You can look at this thread as it may have a similar problem with your car - intake/exhaust leak but there are other possibilities.

the scanner doesn't says wich bank (1 or 2 ) just - system too lean - , but im gona check about the info on the link , i was looking today at the intake system during the change of the filter and it seems to be ok , maybe i got a leak on the manifold , i need to check for that

Get a free scan from Autozone and the likes, and if possible, get a printout of the trouble code. That will help you narrow down the problem.
