I'm sad to report this. The adrenaline is still pumping, so I can't sleep. But I was driving tonight to meet a bunch of friends at a bar and two guys in an accord turned right in front of me and i tried to swerve but there wasn't enough time or space. I just bought some stuff for my car too that hasn't even been shipped yet. I'm so pissed. Anyway, I guess I will find out soon if it's totaled. Being that it's a 92' and probably only worth 2600-3000, it will be. The other driver did have insurance thankfully. Here are some pics bad quality because it's from my phone.

James!!! awww man. That sucks!!!

Sounds like you are safe and sound.. that's the most important thing.

I'm positive the insurance company will total the car. Make sure you buy it back from them. You will be able to keep many parts for your next car and/or help out other 'vert owners looking for parts.

Keep us updated and let us know if there is anything we can do to help.

This is why I don't like a lot of Hondas....now they've killed one of my own. Is the frame bent? Is it at all salvageable? I'd hate for the whole thing to be scrapped Glad you're okay man, but that's really sad to see happen to someone who's only been with us a month or so

Hope that Honda is dead too....(Not the drivers, just the car)

i bet they would sell it back to you for "parts" for like $500 or so..

just guessing.. every insurance company is different.. but as far as they are concerned.. if you pay them a little something for it.. they don't have to worry about disposing of it..

You will easily make back your money on the car for parts.. 'vert top and some interior panels will get you to $500 alone..

I am so sorry to hear (and see) about your accident but like others have said, thank God you walked away.

When I was rearended years ago the Insurance co. totaled my Impulse and I bought it back for like $500. I pulled the rear end out myself and continued to drive it for a year then sold it to a junk yard for $200. Yours doesn't look drivable but like Eikon said, you can probably make $500 on parts very quickly. Heck if you had a boot I know a girl who'll take it off your hands right now.

You'll find another vert soon and be back among us before you know it. I can't help but wonder how many verts there are left out there now.......

James, I am very sad to see this happen at all, much less right before the meet, but as everyone else has said, you're not hurt and you will get to drive another one. Hopefully we can get her replaced in time...

Even before I posted this I had Kelly Blue Book open to see value (2600-3000) and AutoTrader searching within 200 miles of my own location. This is in Tampa, and looks to be quite pristine (sorry about the long autotrader link)http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/...st=15

if there is anything else i can do please let me know. if you see cars in the tampa area online and you want someone to get more pics, or you want an ametuer opinion, please do not hesitate to pm me!!!

thanks guys for the kind words. i am fine and that is the good thing. just feel where my seat belt held me back and my knee got scraped, thats it. no bruises or nothin. and thats guys honda had far more damage, those verts are tough lemme tell ya. they are heavy cars. i always sort of been concerned about the seat belts how good they work because they are in the doors, not truly anchored to the frame, but hell it worked like it was made to. i just wonder now how well the ones work with the guys that do the door conversions. there's a old guy with a gorgous black vert around my small town i see rarely, but if i see him again ill flash him some insurance cash money and maybe he'll make me a deal.

Did you buy it? It's no longer for sale. I hope you got it. It was looking sharp. Like everyone said 'YOU FIRST' and car next. Car is just a material that you can get later. Hope you already got over with the accident and find your vert soon.

i am meeting the original owner tomorrow. if all goes well i got it. i will have pics up ASAP. its perfect! im really excited, but trying not to be overly celebrating just in case. wish me luck everyone!

also, unfortunately i do not have any place to store my old vert to part out. so if there is anyone that would like to get it for parts let me know! im sure it would be no more than 500 or so. and if anyone has seen the pics of my vert b4 it was wrecked... the interior is perfect, and still is after the accident. new black leather, and new carpet. dash had a small crack in it tho was bout to replace it. thats all thats wrong with it. the top is in perfect condition. back window too. im sure someone could get way more money back than what they paid for it. let me know guys.

This reminds me of when my 240 was broke into, made me feel kind of used and helpless all at the same time. Best of luck
