Well if you do get another carbon hood, make sure you get hood pins.

you should know better than to have a cf hood without hood pins, its an epic fail on your part. hood pins are cheap too, you can get them from the local auto parts store for like $10. take it as a lesson learned so next time to shell out over $500 for a hood you'll remember $10 hood pins.

This happens all the time to people that don't have hood pins. I'm surprised it didn't do that within the past 3 years.

Hence why you are supposed to have hood pins on CF and fiberglass hoods.

Honestly glad you and your GF are ok. People can be tough on here especially when most people get these CF or Fiberglass hoods, they tend to weigh considerably less than their metal counterpart, and are advised to install some sort of hood pins, for the latches on most of those hoods arent atached quite as well as they could be, and because of the weight issue. Most people tend to disreguard that suggestion and when this happens it is a "I told ya so" situation and people can tend me somewhat cold about it.

Good luck in the rebuild and want to see pics of the car and the GF...Lol.

I had the same thing happen to me last year with my cf hood. My rearview mirror shot of the windshield and flew past my head! Scary stuff man!

Good luck, fix the hood and paint it to match the car. Yeah looking at your pics with your "my headlights are busted mod" you can see the gap between the lamps and hood. It was bound to happen, wind is powerful.

How is the roof?
