Can other Canadian owners post information about what accessories they have purchased, for how much and from where ?

I was debating to whether buy these from dealer when picking up my vehicle in 2 days.

Wheel lock : List price C$44, Dealer asking C$70 installed.
Rear bumper chrome protector: C$189, Dealer asking C$ 270 installed

Also looking for the cargo area protector mat, thinking will get the Weathertec one.

I negotiated all those items for free when I purchased my car. The bumper protector looks good and you won't scratch the top of your bumper.

The cargo area protector is kinda useless as it's also carpet material and if you spill anything or have a dog it won't do anything. Instead I'd spend the money on the winter mats.I'm also looking towards weathertech cargo mat.

Wheel locks you can buy yourself and install it, shouldn't take more than 5 minutes without needing to jack the car.

My 2011 came with the rear bumper protector and the cargo mat installed. I think that dealers install these options that most people want to raise the sticker price.

Wheel locks are available at all auto stores. There is usually a book that lists all car and which size fits what (same as oil filters, air filters, wipers, etc.) There are only a few thread sizes. They are easy to install unless some gorilla has over torqued the wheel lugs. You could also buy the locks at the dealer's parts counter and install then yourself.

The cargo mat is a rubber backed carpet, so it does protect the car's carpet. I prefer it to rubber mats since I don't carry stuff in the car that would stain it, I just pull it out and vacuum it when needed. I do have Weathertec mats in the front and don't like the drivers side mat. It doesn't protect the area around the left foot rest and I get a lot of white salt stains there.

I think you are stuck with the dealer on the bumper protector. You may be able to get it cheaper online but the shipping cost to Canada might be high. Again you could buy it from the dealer and save money by installing it yourself. It looks like it is just held on by an adhesive, maybe double sided tape. You might get a cheaper install price at an independent body shop.

I have the Weather Tech Front, Rear, and Cargo Mat Package in my 2014 Rogue and am very happy with them - they are the only mats I will ever buy for a vehicle - you will not be disappointed.

I also had the stainless steel illuminated sill plates installed - $400.00 - at the dealer and really like them, they upscale the car quite a bit. Please note that just the front sill plates are illuminated.

The dealer put the locking lugs on my vehicle - did not say a word, and charged me $50.00 for them, when we are signing the purchase papers I told them to take them off and they did not know what to do LOL - my wife elbowed me - she does not like conflict - and told me just to pay it.

It she had not been there they would have come off, there is no way they should slip a charge in like that after you have established an agreed upon price... it is just a cash grab on their part.

I have also tinted the front windows, upgraded the horn to Hella Supertones and replaced the Brake Lights, Turn Signals, Fog Lights, Dome Lights, Reverse Lights, and Licence Plate Lights with LED to match the LED Headlights and installed a stainless steel exhaust tip on the exhaust pipe - something that is missing from the 2014 Rogue.

I have the 2014 Rogue SL with the Tech Package (LED Headlights etc.).

NAV2014,

I forgot to mention, you can also go with the clear 3M tape for the back bumper instead of the metal protector, they can wrap it down over the edge (contour) of the bumper and it will do an awesome job of protecting the paint, the stuff is bullet proof and if for some reason you want to change it out it comes off without a hitch and you are left with factory quality paint.

Any sign shop that carries 3M products should be able to help you out.

You already have some of it on your car from the factory, check out your rear door edges.

Cheers

Do you have a picture or link for the SS exhaust tip? Also how hard was it to change the horn? I really can't understand why they used this horn, my motorcycle is louder.
Edit: just saw your post on the other thread regarding the horn.

Hi Koushtj,

For the Stainless Steel Exhaust Tip I just googled some Stainless Steel Tips to get an idea what I was looking for and then I went to one of our local Exhaust/Muffler Shops and had a look at what they had and picked one out that I liked and they installed it right there.

Because the 2014 Rogue Exhaust Pipe is bent to point down they cut it off at the bend and welded the stainless steel tip on so it comes out straight.

It looks great.

Just don't go cheap on the Stainless Steel Tip, keep it clean and it will last for years.

All in it cost me about $100.00.

My buddy did the horns for me and it took him about 30 minutes.
