I'm installing a new 3.3l engine in my 2001 crewcab 4x4 frontier after 228000 miles, and every thing is unhooked except the trans and i can't find access to the torque convertor bolts to take them out. Haynes manuel doesn't say but looks like you have to remove the oil pan from the engine.this can't be true? no access plate on the bellhousing?HELP PLEASE!!!!!

As stated in the Nissan Manual:

10: Remove starter motor. Tightening torque: 41 - 52 N·m (4.2 - 5.3 kg-m, 30 - 38 ft-lb)11: Remove gusset and rear plate cover securing engine to A/Tassembly.12. Remove bolts securing torque converter to drive plate.I Turn the crankshaft to expose the next TC bolt and remove it.

I am having some trouble getting the image posted here so check your email for the image instead.
