What is the access panel above the driver sun visor for? I have been tempted to pull the cover off and look, but I am afraid I won't be able to get the cover back on...

I have always wondered about that as well. Any ideas???

I have not looked at the location of the panel but do you think it could be a manual crank for the moon roof.

Its a access panel for the pigtail to the moonroof and rollover sensors.

Real handy when fishing wires for mirrors,radar detectors,rearview camera or other overhead electronics..I'll post a pic later tonight if I can find it.

The panel also has the pigtail connector attached to it to reduce rattling(pops right off) The panel is removed by prying the FRONT edge releasing the friction catch..pull slightly foreward to drop thr panel. Look at pics it is easier than it sounds.
