Acceptable drivetrain whine?

I have a 2006 Infinity M35X with 3K+ miles on the speedo. There is a mild but distinct drivetrain whine cruising under power which is not present on my 2005 FX35 and G35X. This sound stops when the gas pedal is released. Is this normal? Can it be expected to decrease as the car is broken in further?Thanks for your help.Weinie
