Hey everyone,

I'm still new to the Versa world, but I noticed that they offered interior accent lighting as an option. Has anyone had this installed, or even better, installed it themselves? Likes, dislikes?

I've done some aftermarket installs before, but the car is still under warranty, so I'd like to avoid any problems with that if I can. It's not a necessity that I get these (obviously), but I think they'd look good.

Any help you guys can give would be great, thanks everyone!

My brother installed interior lights for me under the driver and passenger footwell. Automatically turns on when I start the car and it looks pretty good.

VersaMG08 has the interior accent lighting from the dealer.

Very cool. I'd like to put something in to give it that personal touch. I know the one from nissan has 20 different colors, and can be turned on, off, or come on when the door is opened.

Any good pics of it with the lights on?

I have some interior accent lights that aren't installed yet. I am thinking about getting off my a** and installing all the extra stuff I have for my V that I just haven't gotten around too..

If I do, I'll post some pictures.

Thanks skunk, that's the kind of thing I was hoping to hear. Any idea how difficult it is to get underneath and actually install the stuff?

Thanks for all the help guys, I've been reading over a ton of posts and you all are really helpful. I just hope I can help contribute some.

My LED's are pink and are under my driver and passenger footwell.

My brother is going to add some pink tubes this summer for me. Make it even brighter, and maybe put some under the seats. :D I can't wait.

My dad put some Orange LED tubes in my car but he did a really crappy job so I ripped them out and plan on doing them sometime soon.. as for hanging the tubes, well its quite difficult under the seats and on the passenger side...

The driver side is easy of course but in order to fit the tubes under the seats they have to be slanted and than there is NO room under the passenger side dash because of the glovebox.

No room under the passenger side?

We found that installing the lights under the passenger side were much easier than the driver side. My brother is good w/ installing stuff ... I think he did a good job. Only cost me $20 for the lights and he did all the work :D

the passenger side is pretty easy... i have it with velcro against the glove box, the ends of the 12" tube are square, came with mounting velcro, it just barely fits. the driver side is pretty easy to do. Under the seats is fairly simple as well. Just make sure you extend the wires enough to allow the seats to move, but do not do it over a foot, or else your lights, if you are using cathodes, won't work.

thats a pic from inside the car, the neon lights really light up the entire footwell. and under the seats they glow into the back. The camera doesn't really pick up the light very well but just to give you an idea.

That's exactly how I did mine when I had them installed. I am hoping to put them back in relatively soon but we will see. lol

I have LED lights instead of neons.. the LEDs aren't as bright as my neons where so its cool that it just gives off like an accent (kind of like my underglow) instead of lighting up the whole car. I will definitely post pictures of the process and what it looks like if I ever get to it.
