My 1960, 221 Pickup needs an accelerator pump. Its the 48hp engine with the single barrel carb. I would be most appreciative of any specific leads on where to acquire one. Of course Google, etc. searches are ongoing.ThanksMuch,Chris

Are your searches carburetor model specific?

Apparently, since Datsun went from a single barrel Hitachi to 2bbl carbs rather quickly, there is not much out there.

If there is a good carb rebuild shop in your area, you might be able to match up something close and with a little modifiaction it might work. Finding an new one might be impossible.

We (my mechanic actually) may have already ordered a 2bbl rebuild kit with the hopes we can use the accelerator pump, or parts of it. If not, having driven it, he says its not that bad after all. Seems there is a nick in the leather, but it is not fully deteriorated. As an aside, so far, parts from later models have been fitting (clutch master and slave cylinders). Hoping to find the same true for brakes.
