Accelerator pedal stiff

The accelerator/gas pedal on my stock 93 240sx vert is very stiff. Especially the first time back in vehicle after it has been sitting. Seems like the first inch or so is stiff or resistant to pushing and then it loosens up some. Any way to lubricate as is or take apart and lubricate? The old lady b****es about it a lot!!!!

Your throttle body is probably gunked up - had this happen to my old 240.

Pop off the intake pipe, get some carb cleaner & shop towel and clean out front & rear (by turning the throttle body) as much as you can.
