Hey guys, here is what I am dealing with right now.

Intelligent cruise control and drivers assist system stopped working on my 2011 qx56. I visited dealership today and they said accelerator pedal with sensor (the whole thing basically) needs to be changed, new part number 180021LA8A, $2000 in Canada (old part number 180021LA6A). The actual part of the accelerator pedal that's not working is the one that releases or depresses the pedal to adjust the speed for ICC and DAS. I don't know the proper name. It just stopped working. Accidentally, I changed the battery around the same time. Not sure if it's due to that, or just the coincidence.

Anyone experienced this before?

I would assume that there would be a code related to that stored in the ECM. Did they mention anything about that?

No they didn't mention any codes. I am actually going to pick it up in couple of hours and ask them. I am going to look into this myself first. I did ICC self test, and it gave me two error codes, 91 and 5. I need to look into these codes and cross reference to what Service department tells me.

Code 91 is Accelerator pedal actuator integrated motor malfunction

the system is a drive by wire. there is a sensor on the floor under the accelerator pedal and a sensor on the pedal itself. the difference betwixt the two sends a voltage to the BCM and then onto the ECM and TCM to tell them to increase or decrease speed. the sensor on the pedal is a once piece part and has to be replaced with the entire pedal assembly.

your post is the first post ive seen online and i frequent a couple of forums that have the most qx56/80 owners. that is rare indeed.

When i picked up my qx56, service department told me i need to get new pedal assembly. On the way home, I tried to use crusie control and it wasn't working. However, later in the evening I went for a ride, switched transmission to Manual and I was able to use cruise control in Manual. It was full functional intelligent cruise control with DCA. I switched transmission back fo Drive and icc and dac were still working. So this is pretty bizarre! Hopefully it was just intermittent problem.

still sounds like a sensor issue either on the pedal or the TCM...
