Mechanic told me I need to replace acelatator petal I would like to install it myself but do not know how to program it once installed dose the car need to be hooked up to a computer to program it ?

Unfortunately I have no experience with this but what is wrong with your pedal? Isn't that just a physical piece of metal? Didn't realize it involved software/programming...

I think what is needed is the Accelerator Pedal Released Position Learning. You don't need software programming for that. That being said, there was a recall for the pedal assembly a while ago. The recall statement says the updated assembly requires ECM reprogramming.

Are you certain that the entire assembly needs replaced?
The foot pedal that attaches to the main unit broke on mine. (the part that attaches to the floor) It was $20 from Infiniti. Couple a floor bolts and a plastic pin. Easy.

wasn't there a recall on the accelerator pad for the 07. I think had this fixed by the dealership 5 years ago. I could be wrong since it was so long ago.
