Alright, I just got a dohc swap in my s13 and its slow as balls. There is no acceleration what so ever (my sohc that had a blown headgasket was way faster) so anyways, i was looking to see what could be wrong and i noticed that the throttle cable going to the cruise control module wasn't hooked up so i hooked that back on but that cable and the other throttle cable that goes to the gas pedal are criss crossing, is that how it should be or should they not be criss crossing. after hooking that up criss crossing its still slow as balls, no difference...anyone have any ideas of what else it could be????? It seems to be bogging down a lot. Thanks!

Check and recheck the timing. It should be at 15* btdc. Check for ample fuel and spark also.

ummm... maybe because the dohc has lower compression pistons, and wont be as torqy as the pigs noses were.. did you change the oil?

Sounds fuel related, possibly I would check fuel hoses and hoses in general for any leaks/kinks. Have you replaced fuel filter recently, the thing I would do would be the fuel pump. Other things would be the aiv.Gotta narrow it down..

Hey Altiman, could you elaborate on the timing thing for me I'm not quite to speed on what you are getting at. As for KFL I'll check the hoses and fuel pump today. My filter should be fine its damn near new. I update tomorrow morning but thanks for the help so far.
