I have a 2005 350Z 6 speed manual trans. the RPMS go up to 4-6k before the car takes off. I was told it was not the clutch but i am not sure. This happens in all gears running at lower rpms. If i run at high rpm in low gears the car responds well. I bleed the hydraulic clutch line and refilled it. That seamed to help for a while. But now it is getting bad.

Please help!!

sure you got everything bled well? the slave is very difficult to bleed personally i use a pressure bleeder for everything before the slave then pump it up and have someone hold the clutch, loosen the bleeder but then use something to push the piston back in to help bleed the front of the slave. still dosnt work its a clutch, master, slave, or just needs the clutch pedal adjustment rod adjusted. how many miles and has the clutch ever been replaced?

Thank you for the info. The car has 82k miles on it. I got it used with 79k miles on it. I will rebleed the slave and see how it goes. Will the clutch have a burning smell if it is slipping? In the old days you could smell when a clutch was slipping.

actually i feel retarded at my brain fart since a improperly bled system would make it not possible to shift not cause it to slip which is whats happening, thats the only way rpms increase in gear without the car accelerating. the cylinders could possibly be stuck, the clutch adjustment rod improperly adjusted or just needs a new clutch, with that many miles very well could just need a new clutch

I am having this exact same issue... I was wondering if anyone else has any input. Or maybe Tim B did you solve the issue and if so what was it?

Thanks
