I have a 1993 Nissan 240sx and I recently started having an issue with the throttle response. In the low range (500-2750rpm) its shakes and feels sluggish. Once it hits 3000 rpm its fine... I need to address this ASAP and fix it.. too many people rely on my car functioning. ANY help as to cause and solution would be greatly appreciated!!!

lol i have the same problem but just the opposite, in (500-2750rpm) my car drives fine couldnt be any better once it hits 3000 and above rpms my car feels sluggish and starts to shake. (not all the time though) I thought they were the injectores, but there all in working order. Let me know if you ever fix your car, so i can fix my. Good luck though

try cleaning your MAFS. I remember reading a post a few days ago similar to this and the suggestion to clean the MAFS fixed the problem.

I dont know if you were refering to me or both, but i recently swap the maf and made it worse. Didnt even want to idle, would just die. I try to get another maf, one off a working car i had this one laying around for sometime. Btw i did clean the maf currently in my car and still acts the same.

Check injector o-rings. I had the same problem. All injectors were firing but one was more pulsing than firing steadily. There was a small crack in the o-ring. Replaced o-ring and it ran great afterward.

Let me know if it helped.

Also noticed another problem yesterday. Oil leaks into the 4th spark plug. So I am thinking that it has something to do with the sluggish aceleration??

check your plug gasket, you could have a dead cylinder or low compression. have it tested and more than likely rebuilt.
