Hey guys,

I have a new problem with my 1993 SR20DET engine. It seems like when I drive around town going slowly shifting below 4,000rpms the car is hesitating, almost like buckin back and forth a bit. It only happens when I accelerate slow. I thought maybe it was a spark plug problem, but they are all brand new plugs.

Heavy throttle told me it could be a 02 sensor that went bad.

Could the timing have anything to do with this as well?

I have an exhaust leak and a bad CAT, could that cause this at all too?

Any suggestions are highly appreciated. Thanks in advanced guys...

Do you have a front mount?

If you've got a lot of intake pipe hangin out under your hood it's going to kill the response time from the MAF to the throttle body. I used to have that problem, and I cheated it a bit by leaning the piss out of my motor at low RPM's, which worked (excpet cold starts sucked). After switching to a blow through MAF the problems went away (now my MAF is 5 inches from my TB and not 5 feet).

Also check your timing, if you give it a bit more advance it might get better (also delt with that issue).

hope some of that might help,

later,

if you have a clogged cat, that could be responsible
