ok before I put my car away for a while it had acceleration problems. When the car gets warm or just in general I start taking off and it takes off slowly and around 3000 rpms you hear the engine sounding like its gaining ground and thats when it starts picking up speed. But when it does it almost seems like its barley catching. I have to drive slow in order for it to go. There is no way I would be able to peal out much less drift. I have replaced the fuel pump with a Walbro, did a seafom, changed oil, spark plugs cables, spark plug (but not the cap) new clutch, & flywheel. It back fires a little which makes me think it maybe timing, but will timing make it feel like its not grabbing anything?

From the video it doesn't "sound" like your timing is off, but don't quote me on that, I think your idle would be rough as well. Finish up on the tune up such as O2 sensor, cap and rotor. It might also be a vacuum leak which might be causing the backfires. Run some fuel injector cleaner as well.

Check your timing.

Sounds like timing to me.

I don't see how it can be the MAF, makes no sense.

Then again, it's a 240SX, random s*** happens.

Add an extra ground from your MAF to the body, make sure its a good clean ground.

i have the same issue when my car is warmed up, like a big loss of power, a couple of times its almost caused me to stall out from a stop light

*edit*
just watched the vid, seems like the clutch was slipping, but my car the rpms raise up slowly, only does it when my car is warm, sometimes its bad and others its noticable but not a problem.... changed oil, every filter in the car, fuel pump seems to be in good working order, cap, rotor, spark plug and wires, ign coil replaced, cleaned maf, so i dunno whats up with it, been doing it since i bought the car in 2001, ten years but this year its gotten worse....help please, sorry for old thread jack.

Check the fsm on how to check ignition timing-if i remember correctly you warm up the engine and shut the car off, disconnect the tps and then start your car-make sure the rpm's are around where they should be...750rpm? then get a timing light and make sure your timing isnt too far retarded.i had this problem on almost all the dual cam ka's ive owned and its very annoying.timing should be around 20*btdc but you can go as far as 22-23* if you run straight premium

if your timing is spot on then your next thing to look at would be the knock sensor-bust out a voltmeter and get to probing-get a copy of an fsm and read up on both checking the KS and setting ignition timing because its been a while since i have done it-Also,dont hold me to the numbers i threw out there thay may be it may not be like i said its been a while lol

GoOdluck

P.S.-just looked at the video-could also be a clogged exhaust system I.E. cat or muffler

Thanks for all the advice guys! I checked the MAF and it was good and double checked with the spare one that I had. I adjusted the TPS and cleaned the IACV and still the same issue. I checked the spark wires and no cracks, the put in new spark plugs and still same, but after I put in the new plugs I noticed there was no change in the motors performance when I removed the last cable from the valve....so no compression.

It ended up being my INJECTOR. I found someone selling some cheap on Craigslist and he told me he has the same issue and I drove it like that to Daytona Beach (40 minutes from my house) then changed it there and PRESTO! Then it happened again a few days later and it was the small rubber ring at the bottom of the injector. Replaced it and haven't had an issue since.

Long story short also check for compression by removing spark plug cable while the car is on and if there is no change there is no compression and is probably your injector. Check the rubber rings and if worn replace because something so small can make your car run terribly rich.....and poor.
