Accelarator Stopper Thing

behind my accelarator pedal on my 95 240, theres a plastic box similar to the foot rest beside the clutch. I was wondering what is the deal with that does that prevernt you from "Over Opening" the throttle, or do you need to remove it to open up WOT??

Yes, it's a stopper Nissan put there to keep you from being able to go to full throttle. Wait, no, that would be completely dumb. It keeps you from stretching the throttle cable by jamming it too far. Have a friend push the gas all the way down, then go look at the throttle plate. It's definetly all the way open.
