I'm just wondering if 8mm is a little too big for a stock ignition, and if anyone has any experience with accel wires.

I've gotten conflicting arguments from different people, mostly express oil change mechanics, just wondering what you fine nico people think :)

Hey, I have those on my S14 right now. You can check out pics in my sig. I think they are fine, I couldn't tell a difference though. I would just get OEM ones, now that I have gotten these, but that's just me. Hope that helped.Josh

I got them because they were of oem build quality, and less money then a nissan techs price. Plus pushing 7k - 10k ohm on my stock ones it was time. These where around 300 - 450 ohms new.

Get either these or stock, but anything but the cheap ones unless you want to repair them everytime you pull them off, or like you boot ends to crack / melt.

Only reason I could see a tech not like them, is its hard to get a constant accurate ignition signal off of one for doing the timing. Keep your oem #1 wire if you want.

The yellow ones put out the most power btw.

The nissan techs I have talked to recommend using NGK. They said nissan engines run the best on NGK because thats what they were tuned with at the factory. They also told me to just get regular ngk platinum plugs, that the iridium ones would be a waste of money.

put them on my 240 about a month ago. running good. i like them. NGK stuff is good for a 240, especially spark plugs, but i think accel and NGK wires are about the same when it comes to benefiting the car. i'd go accel just because.

The reason being is because you regained the Hp you lost from the aging wires. Much like adding new plugs, in the fact that it doesnt make new horsepower but restores it to its previous level.

Take these off in x amount of years and slap a new set on and youll feel the same thing :)
