Very Nice Joe! Been waiting on these for awhile now. Is there special pricing for us sponsored vehicles?Racingline wrote:Just thought I would put it out there as I know a few of you are waiting..... We finally got around to putting our second test set of traction rods on yesterday and though I would post some teaser pics for you guys. Prices have not been set and we are still in the evaluation stages but the project looks promising. For those concerned about ground clearance your only going to lose about 1/2-3/4" at the rear and about 1/4" under the control arm
Hey i sent you a message from your site but I was wondering if I could get your email. THANKSRacingline wrote:basically the way the work is....
Your control arms are mounted using rubber bushings that can deflect under various load conditions. In theory the control arms position is designed to be static and should only move on a vertical plain ( up and down) with the suspension, but in the real world under hard launching and or aggressive cornering the control arms actually start to deflect thus changing the toe position on the wheel. These mount to a predetermined position on the frame and connect to the control arm using a rod and hiem joint/rod ends and virtually eliminate any side to side deflection in the control arm.
During a drag style launch this movement in the control arm will contribute to both torque steer ( due to the non equal length axles) and wheel hop. These rods will virtually eliminate torque steer and wheel hop allowing you to launch harder and straighter, thus helping to reduce you ET's
During cornering this movement in the control arm will contribute to under-steer and tire scrub, These rods will stop the deflection which will in turn help you power through a corner better.
Now despite the name these will not "create" more traction, as traction is solely limited to the tires ability to stick to the ground. What these do is limit the other factors around the vehicle that stop the tires from doing their job in the most efficient manner. Does that mean you need drag radials or some other $300 tire to use these? No. They will provide the benefits noted above with even the stock tires. With a less than sticky tire you'll still notice reduced or eliminated wheel hop ( lowered vehicles with these traction rods will pretty much eliminate tq steer and wheel hop, stock suspensions will occasionally still see very slight wheel hop on less than perfect launches)
Dangeris always trying to get a deal like he doesnt have the sickest AC anyway..... Why not give new-ish guy like me the free-bedangeris wrote: Very Nice Joe! Been waiting on these for awhile now. Is there special pricing for us sponsored vehicles?![]()
they shouldn't make your ride any stiffer or bouncier, it really is mostly for launching and cornering. and they're just for the front, they're designed to work on the drive wheels.rcboy514 wrote:awesome!
I'm on eibachs and 19s, will I be able to tell a diff in the ride quality as far as stiffness/bouncyness or will these pretty much be un-noticable until I launch and corner? Also this may sound like a newb question, but will these rods be for the front and back?
thanks! It's so awesome to see racingline continue to deliver aftermarket parts for our cars!
so far, bolt on. just loosen a few bolts underneath the car, slide in the bracket and bolt back on.Ranga14 wrote:Yep, the moment these come out, you have my moneyz.
Question: Do these just bolt right on or are modifications needed?
