So when i turn on the AC there isn't much smell, but wen i turn off the AC and let the fan run, theres a really; funky smell. And it hasn't been raining, so iono, can somone shed some light?

I've run into this problem before too. I think it has something to do with mildew/dust build up and how the A/C dehumidifies the air.

There are some products on the market for cleaning the A/C. You might look into that.

I would suggest lysol over Fabreeze. Lysol will kill what's making the smell. Fabreeze will just cover it up.

My dads Murano did that and so have a few other cars we have had. From what I have heard its just stail air blowing in because the filter or something in the system is wet. probably because of the A/C. All we had to do was run the car for ten minutes or so with the heat on full blast and the A/C on. this has always seemed to work for us. try that out guys!

The way to reduce the smell is to have the AC on recirculate before you shut the car off. The outside air will help with the smell.

Most people have problem with A/C smell if they don't use it all the time. Some people prefer to stop a/c a minute or 2 before they turn the engine off. I never had any problem with the A/C smell.

Here is what's the best to use for that smell. This is what some of the owners use here to solve the problem. I never used them.

Hope this helps.
