i know its probably mildew and fungus growing in the evaporator, and its been getting worst ever since i bought it. any short way to clean it out without removing the dash? i was told dumping lysol would help kill th bacteria. any sugestions?

Lysol will help a lot. Just find the inlet air and spray it in as it runs on high... Is it just A/C, or any function of the fan?

only smells during ambient air (econ mode) after the ac has been on, but not during the ac is on. also sometimes smells when i first turn on the heater for a few minutes but quickly goes away. ill give it a try this weekend. seems like the air inlet is on the passenegr side cowel?

2nd, run the lemon fresh or other nicely scented Lysol and it'll clean it right out. Be sure the recirc function is off, so that you're drawing in the Lysol thru the system.

meguires sells a spray that you spray into your fresh air inlet, but you ton't find it at the conrer store you'll need to go to a meguires store or order it online

Off topic:
Wouldn't it be great if they made a vent right in the a** of your seat that you could flip a switch and it would suck air out of the car, thereby sucking out the fart... is it sad that I've actually thought about that? :wtf2: :chuckle:
