Ok, I recently purchased a Acura Legend to be my daily driver instead of my S14 or 350Z or gas gussling Trailblazer.

The AC works and gets somewhat cold but not SUPER cold.

My other cars like my 240 since that was my last daily. I would put the AC on high till the car got cool then in like 4 minutes I had to set it at 1 because it was too cold.

On my Acura I have to leave it on high the whole time I go somewhere and still doesn't feel all that cold.

I went to Autozone and purchased the AC Freon refill kit. It has a gauge on there to tell you if it's full or needs charging. It said it was fine 25-45 is normal and it was right in the middle.

Anyone have any idea what else it could be? The gauge also tells you if there is a problem with your cooling system and it says mine is fine.

Any ideas anyone?

You A/C clutch is out.

My Prelude had the same problem. I paid $100 bucks to fill my Freon and the damn Mechanic (afterwards) told me that the clutch was bad.

Criminal.

Well,

My AC on the Prelude works also. But it's not cold and that is what happens.

Think of the clutch as the Clutch in your transmission:Hey, It drives, but it may need replacement. Right?

That, or you have leak.

AC should be examined by a specialist with proper gauages and experience to evaluate.

OK well I guess i'll have to take it. I just do not trust mechanics. They are always liars and look for ways to scam you.
