Hello everyone, today I'm having a weird issue. I turn on my car and several dash lights stay on and the AC controls don't work but the fan is on full blast and its not cooling. In Arizona that sucks because its just blowing hot air and its over 100 outside. I went to the auto store and the car is not giving out any codes. I had to pull the blower fuses just to get the air to turn off. Lights that are on are VDC, Slip, and something else. I need to go check again.

A little more info. 2006 Infiniti M35. All the top AC button controls don't work but everything else appears to. All other dash buttons like navigation, radio, all the steering wheel buttons as well. I think its just the AC panel. Maybe a short? Some kind of fuse perhaps?

Any ideas are appreciated?

The only thing that comes to mind is that there may be a control module that regulates the functions of the air con. If that module failed, I would expect that an error code would be stored. Best bet is to take it to a dealer as the part store my be able to look for codes, but not much else. Lots of times the VDC and slip can illuminate due to low battery or loose terminal connections on the battery itself. Check that as well. It's amazing what a low battery or loose connection can cause with these cars and it only takes a minute to tighten connections.

Thanks, so I took your advice and took it to the dealer and it looks like it needs a new AC amplifier module. I ordered the part online from a Junkyard for cheap as the dealer wanted to charge me nearly 400 dollars for a new one. I looked in the manual and it looks fairly easy to swap out so was just thinking of doing it myself for cheap. It looks like it is right above the radio and I'll have to remove the cup holder, the panel for the shifter and the front panel of the radio to access it. I haven't done that before on this car. Does anyone have any advice on that for me?

i'm curious - what exactly is the AC amplifier module and did you go to an independent dealer or nissan/infiniti dealer?

The AC amp is some kind of controller for the ac system. I'm not sure exactly what it does but when mine went out, the whole AC panel went dead and my AC blows full blast without cooling.

The model number is 27760 EH100 or 27760 EH10A for my 2006 m35. Here is a picture from the manual. It's listed as number 1 in the pictures.

Just in case anyone else has this same issue, I was able to follow the steps in this thread howto-remove-radio-and-install-grom-usb ... 99297.html to remove the interior trim down the center console and the panel covering the radio. Follow steps 1 to 8 in order to pull the audio unit out. The module on top of the audio console (shown in the pictures with the C on it) is the AC Amplifier. There are 2 star head screws (torx) holding it in. One on each side as well as little plastic ends that slide into the metal frame holding the radio, one on each side as well. There are two wire bundle connectors on the back of the amp which need to be removed. Swap the new unit for the old, reconnect the wires and then simply work backwards. Was pretty straight forward. Thanks to Ilya for the instructions in that thread. Very helpful. My dealership wanted to charge me about a 1000 dollars for this job. It took me less than an hour because I didn't know what I was doing but likely would take someone experienced less than 20 minutes.
