ac problem

i have a problem with my ac wiring ..i just put a ka24de in my 89 240sx.. i soldered all the wiring for the swap and i double checked all the connections.. everything is good there.. i can get the compressor to turn on only if i ground out the green wire with yellow stripe{pin number 11 on ECU}.. everything else works fine .. my ac worked perfectly before..

ya maybe in ny u dont need ac .. but it is hot as F**K here in florida..i really need to get this working

Yeah I hate it when people from up north are like DROP THE AC!! dam if I leave my car in the sun for just ten min... it's like 130 degrees inside!! Florida is HOT! you need an AC here!

I have not had a/c in either of my 180 or 240 and i made it... just with a little towel to wipe off the sweat... yea it does get a little annoying. I live in TN it gets hot here too. I know how hot fl can get ... egh...

i would not worry about the ac so much if i hadnt just bought every for the ac ..like every ac line, condensor, evaporator,compressor,dryer

so if you just ground the wire out then it works?

ya if i ground out the wire it turns the compressor on... but the only way it goes back off is by unhooking it or turning the car off...when i ground the wire the compressor turns on wewather the fan is on or not ...the ac button can be on or off also and the compressor still stays on

so think there is any way you could fix a toggle switch to it?

i would hate to put a switch ...but i i dont figure this out soon, that is probably what i am going to do....also i figured out the if i connect the number 6 and the number 7 wire together on the ac relay the compressor turns on also,...but it stays on weather the fan is on or not ...i really just want it to work the way it is supposed to

yea i understand that... I need to figure out why my dash lights dont turn on... the guy before me installed some little dinky blue led lights to light it up at night... I want it to work without those things. i noticed a fuse panel underneath the steering wheel area and i think something migh tbe blown in there

ya more than likely it is a fuse for your dash light problem..

You might have to use the '89 compressor if you can get it to bolt up to the DE engine.
