Last summer I had the AC compressor replaced under warranty at my local Nissan dealership. I really didn't think it was cooling as well as the 05 sedan, but I normally drive with the windows down.....
At the time, I complained about the window not going up all of the time with the one touch. They didn't find anything wrong, so I just let it go knowing it would probably get worse.

SO, today I check the temp coming out of both the 04 Coupe and the 08 Sedan after running them both for a while on recirculate.
Coupe = 54 degrees
Sedan = 42 degrees

And, the window still doesn't go up all of the time. The work around is to push it down, them try again. Also, the window will not go up by inserting the key into the door.
It tries - makes noise, but then fails.

My extended warranty is good for another 12K miles/14 months.
What do you guys think or what would you do?? :gotme
I have ideas, but would like some input.

Thanks!!

I know I've seen the post anout cleaning the window motor. However I think if you have extended warranty Rich you should use it. Hope they'll replace it for you with a new one. Also the A/C might need only refill. Worth to get a test on the system.

Yep, was planning on taking it back.
If it's only freon, then there must be a leak.

Get them to fix it Rich. That's why you have an extended warranty, to make lil things like this hassle free an not a worry.

If it's freon, there is a leak somewhere as it just doesn't disappear by itself, that should be a concern too.

Have them fix it all!!

Do these cars come from the factory with freon, or the R134a? My fiancee has said her a/c isn't blowing as cold as she thinks it should, and I was thinking it just needs a recharge.

The freon is R134

Insufficient blowing is always a problem as the years go by. :biggrin:

Rich,

Do the window reset first. If this doesn't fix the problem, then I'd take it back and make them fix it. I had this issue right before I sold the coupe. I never got around to fixing it. Feel bad for the new owner :(

Yep, good idea.
I did that on the 05 Sedan and it worked.
With it, the window would go all the way up, then back down 1/4.
Will give it a shot this weekend.
