I am about to purchase a CA clip for my S13 coupe, but I was wondering if the AC will bolt up. I have a 92' so it is a DOHC AC system, I know with my SR the KA AC compressor had two bolts line up on the stock SR AC bracket, is there a similar case for the CA, or is it all about making custom lines/bracket?

Best bet on the CA is to use the CA compressor and braze the KA and CA lines together. I think a little wiring would be involved to actuate the compressor clutch keep in mind...

Yeah I am not too worried about wiring, I do that all day long at work. So according to you their is no easy solution like with an SR huh? Alright thanks man.

There are a few posts in the archive about using a KA24E compressor on a CA, not sure about how reliable it is...

It's not too bad actually. Use a KA-E compressor, it bolts up just fine. You will need to take your CA and KA-E compressors down and have the pully's swapped. Then just bolt it on, find a belt that's the right length, and wire it up. Bamo!

Yup, the KAE compressor bolts on to the CA bracket, but the pullies don't line up. You can either modify the bracket and compressor until it lines up, or go to a Nissan dealer and have them put the CA pulley on the KA compressor.

I live in AZ and have a black coupe with black interior and S14 black leather seats (see the theme here?), so AC is a must since i like all this stuff and this car is my daily driver.

And thanx for the KAE compressor tip, that is really helpful.
