AC not working exhaust smell

my inf m35x 07 AC stopped working and I can smell exhaust fumes inside car driving above 50 mph , as well as there is no heat when I turn up temp, basically air temp outside is air temp inside the car, went to local mechanic he checked the car from the bottom if there was any leak, he did pressure test, freon is in the system no leak, he said that looks like the AC computer is not turning on compressor, was advised to go to dealer but before I go just trying to find out what could be the problem

I'm not entirely sure the two are related as the AC system has no connection to the exhaust, might just be coincidence. As for why the compressor isn't getting turned on...I'm assuming all of the basics were checked like relays, etc.?
