AC light turns off when I slide the fan up to 4 then it seems to blow warmer. It blows cold and the AC light stays on when at 1, 2 and 3 but gets noticeably warmer when I turn it up to 4. Have temp set as cold as it will go.

Any ideas............of course there are.

your fan switch has a poor connection inside, replace the switch, sometimes you can pull it apart clean it out with contact cleaner lube it with some dielectric grease and reassemble it.

The switch that is behind the dash? The slider?

Or is it somewhere else?

does your compressor kick off when the light goes out?or constant on then off every few seconds?if so you are eather under charged or over charged, most likely under charged unless you have had a/c checked lately.and if non of the above I'll have to agree with nistech and say it is your switch.

The fan switch. the one your talking about. It is just a slide switch. The knob you move to change your fan speed is what I am talking about at the end of the stem the knob is on is the switch. you need to at least pull the control head out a little from the dash to get to it and get it off for cleaning.
