I just purchased a 93 240SX-SE and notice the carpet is wet on the passenger side after using the A/C. Has anybody experience this problem? If so, is it easy to fix? Any input would be helpful. I’m planning this weekend to see what the heck is going on. Thanks in advance… As for the car, it’s a beautiful machine!!!Byron TaradenaTucson AZ.:help

The cooling unit and the drainage line are on the passenger side. You can see the drainage line in the engine bay on the passenger side with an opening facing down. Sounds like you need to get in behind your dash and check that drainage line coming from the cooling unit. It may have a leak or is busted completely. Do you notice drainage on the contcrete when you get out?

No... know that you mention it! I wonder if it hard to get to the drain line under the dash. I hope I don't need to remove the hole dash assembly to get to this hose problem. Thanks for the reply.Byron T

I think you may have to at least remove the glove box lid. And the drainage is directly under the passenger foot wheel. Sorry for sayinig its in the engine bay. Where you see two hardlines going into the firewall on the passenger side those are the lines going to the cooling unit. That should give you a reference for where it is position wise.

Good luck.

Well to finish up this thread I found the problem. You will not believe what I found. The gourmet that is used to seal between the hard plastic drain line and the soft drain hose located on the firewall was not installed completely, leaving an opening inside the passenger side. I believe this condition has been this way since new. Thanks again…
