ac high pressure hose

does anything make this high pressure hose go out because i'm about to replace mine and i would like to know if there could be another problem causing this hose to have a leak. This is on a 1998 infiniti I30

the hose failed? I think the failures typically happen at the "O" rings

and I'll move this to thecorrect section
