Have you read the automatic operation of the heater & air conditioning in your owners manual?

On my 06, if I set it on auto and set the temp on 72* for example, if it is cold outside and in the car, the heater will blow warm air at an increasing rate if it is very cold in the car. The blower fan will reduce speed as the inside cabin temp warms up.The fan works exactly the same for the air conditioning in the summer.

If yours does not work that way then perhaps a trip back to the dealer to have them check it out might be in order?

Good luck

The A/C or heater stuff in these cars are so complicated. I never cared to read how they work or operate. All i wanna do is push one button and let the magic begin. If I have to push more than two buttons to set things straight int hat car, I am done. In summer, I have to learn to use the A/C, if and when I use it, if and when Mother Sun decides to roast us alive in the south. In Winter, I have to learn to use the heater. I can't seem to remember how to operate the equipment both ways and simultaneously--heating and/or cooling, at any given time. One of my female friends actually showed me how to dehaze and dehumidify inside my car when it was raining one night on our way home. I was impressed. All I wanna do is drive. Thats it.

If you set it to 72 and its 40 outside, once the car warms up, the needle will be exactly in the middle of C and H. It doesn't matter if you have the temp set at 82 or 68. If its on auto, it will blast air at max speed and max temperature until it gets to within 3 degrees of your desired auto temperature. Then it gradually slows down the fan as the interior temperature gets closer. Just push auto, make sure the info display says auto, and have your temperature at 70 or whatever. Also, if the windows aren't foggy, turn off the AC. The auto setting will still be active and operate until it gets to your temperature, but you can drive without the climate control system using up 22 hp and a mpg.

COMPLICATED?!?! try I-Drive.you'll worship the simplicity of 8 buttons on the infititi. If you have Voice activation, just say, "Driver temperature 70 degrees". A sexy lady will sound out a confirmation and magically do it for you.

This is exactly what I am talking about----complications of operating the vehicle.

As for i-drive, if I ever had a BMW, I would drive that I-drive out of the car.

My little nissan is so easy and straightforward. The windshields have an easy winder. The ECU is completely non-existent or non-intrusive. No ABS, no EBD, no TCS, no VDC, etc. Life is easy with the little nissan. I don't have to worry about what the compuetr is trying to tell me.

My little nissans after-market clutch rattles and engine purr when she is warmed up, is good enough a voice for me. And, she takes forever to warm up---I guess thats what happens when en egine is built with cast iron instead of aluminium.
