AC/Heater problem

Hi all!

I've been doing some searching and didn't find anything so here I go:

When I try switching the air flow from defrost to floor, or from floor to center than it takes a while and sometimes won't switch until I have been driving for hours.

What causes this? Has anyone else ever had this problem?

There are 3 doors in HVAC system each independently position adjustable.

Look in FSM for MODE DOOR and motor and position sensor assembly.
