One day my ac seat worked fine, next day it turns on for about 3 mins, you can feel the cool air blowing, and then the light on the switch goes out and doesn't come back on until you restart the car, passenger seat works fine,

What should I be looking at to trouble shoot this?

Im guessing the sensor is detecting high temps, there's nothing under my seat, filter was cleaned about 6 months ago, fan blades have dust on them, I'll try cleaning those first, looking for more suggestions

That kind of behavior is almost always from slow or restricted airflow, but in addition to finding the cause, you should pop the power connector to the control unit and make sure the ground terminal isn't smoked. Once a flow issue occurs, the affected Peltier element loses the benefit of the Seebeck Effect and starts drawing way more current than it should. Nissan didn't do a great job with the connector design, so the result is usually heating and eventual melting of the ground pin.

I replaced and upgraded the ground wire in mine after the harness melted. Knock on wood it's been fine for several years since. I made a post on this somewhere on this site, will link if I can locate it.

See this thread. I haven't taken pics to update but about a year later I upgraded the ground wire to a larger gauge and it's (fingers crossed) been fine for years since.

I was reading up on this, just wanna make sure I fully understand this, you swapped male connectors, then unplugged oem ground, added YOUR OWN wire, and then you grounded YOUR wire to the seat frame or you connected YOUR wire to the oem ground wire?

You can actually do either one, but your best bet is to ground directly to the seat frame. The reason is, the main seat connector has similar pins (not identical, but close) to the control unit connector. If the cause of the burned terminal at the controller wasn't a hot FET inside the controller (i.e, instead a slow fan, blocked duct, or Peltier running hot), you'll just shift the ground load to the main seat connector and burn that up too.

I'll see if I can find a new male connector bc the one minx linked in the other post is sold out and then I'll try doing a new ground.

Im guessing I've permanently damaged the peltier or something else when I let the fan get dirty and thats causing the no blinking shut off. Im also guessing I'll unfortunately have to replace the seat... again, to regain the air conditioning seat.

I can't imagine any circumstance where you'd need to replace the whole seat. All that stuff is available as piece parts, even the ducts. The Peltiers are actually pretty hard to hurt. It's almost always a hot FET in the control box that blows things up, and that will usually self-destruct before the Peltier substrates can reach critical mass. Once the controller is repaired or replaced, you just need to clean the system thoroughly and make sure everything in the ventilation is open and unblocked.

Thank you, in that case I'll compare the control boxs between the two seats I have (i kept my old seat that the dealership replaced and mounted it to a home made stand) and if my old one looks better I'll use that one.
