ac\heat problems

Was needing to find out what is wrong with my dual control ac\heater. When we have it on and its cold out the driver side blows out cold air and when its warm out it blows hot air out, regardless of what the temp is set on the control. Can you please help us figure it out? Thanks

sounds like it could be the heater diverter valve thingy in the dash. Its a probably a real pain to get to.
