I say go with the 2.5 also for a beginner driver. Plenty of power for him. Also what part of NY are you in, if you dont mind me asking? I just bought a V6 from a dealer in queens.

Go test drive a newer Honda Accord v6. Both cars have identical HP. It should at least give you an idea of the difference.

This might be a bad idea if he is going for CVT (I think he said he doesnt know how to drive manual?). My mother has a V6 Accord Coupe and I've pushed it pretty hard once or twice. Night and day to the V6 Altima Coupe CVT in my opinion. The Accord felt sluggish to me, probably because it was actually shifting gears, but none the less it just didnt do it for me. CVT is completely different driving experience and in my mind a bit quicker. Numbers are the same but whole different experience behind the wheel.

True, but it's closer in power. That's all I really meant.

my son gave me the car he wants. he says white w/ red leather, all the goodies except nav, stillen body kit, nismo exhaust, rear spoiler. this on v6 or 4cyl he is starting to lean towards the 4cyl more because he can get it faster

White with red leather would make me very jealous. Tell your son to have at it, and to come see us when he gets his car!

thats what sucks with manual 2.5's...no leather package!!

the only way you can get leather on a manual is getting the 3.5
