AC evaporator... different then sohc/dohc

Hey everyone,

I'm new to Nissans, I'm ussually a honda guy but my little bro just got a 240sx and basically I'll work on anything thats got 4 wheels.

We want to put air conditioning on, but there is a problem. The motor is a twin cam, but the chasis is single cam. Everything in the engine bay is from the dohc ka24, compressor, condensor, and lines, but the DOHC ka24 lines doesn't seem to fit on the firewall connection with the evaporator (thats under the dash). Does anybody have direct experience if the evaporators for the dohc and sohc are any different, or if the two connections different. Thanks

you need the lines from the dohc.

ahhh..... As i said earlier.... As far as i know from the seller, the engine and everything from the firewall to the bumper is from the dohc engine. The EVAPORATOR which is underneath the dash, and conects to the ac lines from the firewall is from the single cam chasis.

I want to know if there is a difference between the sohc and dohc evaporators. Also, my if i could slide in another question, my brothers defrost for the rear hatch doesn't reall work. He says only on line of the heated lines in the glass works, and that the rest don't defrost. Is this a problem with the electrical or is it the glass that needs replacement?
