took the 96q in today to check a/c-system has not been touched since it left japan 10 years ago. results are system was 5oz low on r134-not bad after 10 years service,i guess. recharged and added 5oz,system doesnt feel much colder,but on a 92 degree humid day,fan settles to 2 blades when set at 70 degrees with recirculate on,after 10-15 minutes of freeway driving with vent temp at 49-51 degrees-can it get any colder than this? and how? windows are tinted with heat blocking metal film{formula one}

Infiniti tends to self regulate [heater door position] the coldness of outlet air to ~~46F-50F to avoid freezing [moisure on] the evaporator.

Follow the recalibration instructions [of HVAC desired display] to fool the AC ecu into running at the low end.

If you remove [serious job] and clean evaporator to remove [hair, durt, slime, cig smoke oily things] obstructions you can probably get 2-3F colder.

5 ounces is at least 15% low that might have meant the system had at least 15% less capacity [22F x 0.15= 3.3F] less than oem new.

Usually there is some build up of leaves dirt etc inbetween condender and radiator and bent fins.

q45tech,yes there is some trash between radiator and condensor-how do you easily get to it? too narrow to shove a vacuum between rad and condensor!does the bottom cover drop down?

You can always just take the radiator out.... Maybe 20 mins to drop it out! and a good time to switch out your radiator fluid

I usually just spray a semi high pressure hose in front of the condensor, and then rinse it out from the top......

No bottom cover to remove for between the radiator and condensor, but you can remove the two bolts that hold the upper radiator brackets in place. Then the radiator can be lifted up to let the debris out of the bottom while you rinse it with a hose. It's helpful to remove the radiator shroud while you do this... but you can get by without disconnecting any cooling lines...
