i have a problem with my ac wiring ..i just put a ka24de in my 89 240sx.. i soldered all the wiring for the swap and i double checked all the connections.. everything is good there.. i can get the compressor to turn on only if i connect the #6 and #7 pins together on the ac relay.. everything else works fine. with having it hooked up like the the ac blows out cold as he**, which is not bad at all ..i am just worried about the compressor staying on the whole time the car is running ..even when i turn the fan off. my ac worked perfectly before.. the ac stuff i changed during the swap are ...the evaporator, dryer, condensor, compressor and all the ac lines under the hood..

You need to determine if the a/c switch is sending the signal to the ECM to turn on the compressor, and weather or not the ECM is sending a signal to ground the relay. Wiring diagrams would be very useful in doing this.

is there easy way to test the ac switch??.. just to make sure .. the ac switch we are talking about is above the radio and says AC??

i dont know if this matters or not ..but if i connect a test light to the pin # 11 on the ecu{ac relay wire} the light on the tester lights up and the compressor turns on...as soon as i remove the test light the compressor goes off..

thanks for the quick reply to my question

Ok blasting time. NEver EVER use a test light on the ECM or any of its operated components. The test light draws to many amps for the circuits inside the ecm and ends up frying the drivers.

All you did using the test light was supply a ground for the relay. That is why it came on. You need to use a volt meter and determine if the ECM is getting all the inputs in order to supply a ground to that terminal.

In order to daignose this properly you are going to need both the wiring diagram for you cars dash wiring harness and a wiring diagram for the engine harness you are using from the DE. Since your A/C controller is run from the dash harness and the ecm is run from the engine harness. There is a connection that connects the dash harness to the engine harness. You should probably focus your diagnosis at that point. since this occured after you did the engine swap.
