i posted a while back about wanting to purchase an hid fog light kit that was simply plug & play ... and i think someone mentioned ddm tuning would be a good option...

i have had luminics racing yellow bulbs in my fogs.. which have been great for "looks" but not much light putput (i knew this when i bought them)

but now want more light output to hit the ground especially for when i drive to areas with minimal street lights or driving down to NC.

anyone reccomend the top 3 plug n play hid kits?please provide me with the bulb type/size and the Watt of the bulb they recommend?

which color puts out the most light?? i would like a yellow/fog (something close to piaa ion yellow color from their fogs but the performance of an hid)

your help is much appreciated... i really dont want to put this upgrade off any longer since i have no excuse because i won a contest at work and got a $500 visa gift card as a prize. it will help take care of my verizon cell phone bill for 2 months and then the left over for my own gift lol

ps. include a website link to the brand/manufacturer

HID kits are all the same imo. the only diffrence is the ballast, some are thick some are thin. all bulbs are the same just color temps differ.there is no better brand its like coke and pepsi dude!ebay is all i can say, theres a seller on there who has the Xentec hid kits for $53.00 out the door!!!

as for max light output i have 5000k for high beams and it kicks major butt!!then i have 30,000k for lows (just for show) its deep blue.i recently found out that ballasts are universal, meaning, u can plug in any kelvin bulbs it will work.i thought you had to purchase a whole new kit if you want a color change.

hope i didnt confuse..

I bought the $50 Ebay Xentecs a few months ago and first had flicker on the passenger side. So I put in a relay harness, then replaced that ballast. Now the other ballast is flickering. The seller replaces them with generic, non-branded ballasts. You get what you pay for, I guess. The next time I have a problem, I'll most likely get the DDM Tuning ones or just put the halogen bulbs back in.

there's a shipping calculator on the site, to cali it's $10, to vancouver it's $20. pretty reasonable to me. and ballasts are typicall all the same i think as well, but the lifetime warranty is what really draws me to ddm

I was looking at DDMs website. where does it say lifetime warranty? I'm drawn towards DDM for this reason too. and the price and shipping put together is pretty much about the same for other people selling hid kits. I've heard good things about DDM. Is it really a good place to get hids from? Also, am i supposed to get two different bulbs for high beam and low beam? That parts a bit confusing to me. Please help!!
