i would try an in situ before i'd disconnect the compressor. NOTE: i have not ever done this on a nissan product, but i have done similar clutch/pulley a long time ago on a yorx compressor. i needed a jaw type puller to remove the old. biggest trick was holding the clutch still while torquing the centre bolt. i would not pound it. you might try *temporarily * using a centre bolt 1/2 inch longer so that it engages, tighten enough to seat the new pulley, and then remove the temporary bolt and put in the real one and torque it up.
best of luck
