ac compressor fitment (frontier or xterra to 240)

I need a new ac compressor but I’m really not looking to spend $450 on a new one but every used single cam ka compressor is over 21 years old I’m thinking of maybe installing a frontier or xterra 4 cyl compressor the housing and mounting looks similar but I don’t know if the pulley and clutch are interchangeable has anybody tried this

Why not just get a remanned? Im sure no one has tried it and for something as simple as an part replacement why not stick with oe? Sounds like a lot of research and trial and error for something so simple. Fyi let me know if you need a used sohc ac pump....i can ship ya one cheap.

relentless search paid off I found the seal kit for the compressor shaft, I followed the post on how to rebuild (reseal) the compressor and my ac has been running flawlessly since the repair 3 months ago I didn’t want to post it wright away then have it not work anymore, but my ac is running so cold I have to turn it down (in az) I purchased my seal from AAPAK 1845 North Grand Avenue Phoenix, Arizona 85007 (602) 254-1116 1-800-832-5544 not sure if they can ship but olso found it on the auto zone web site
