ac compressor? condensor?

hey guys..i took apart my ps and found out there was no belt on the ac compressor(condensor?). *the big thing under the ps pump*

i spun the pulley and it made a rattling sound...so i was wondering.. is that normal? it couldnt be..let me know guys.sounds like something is hitting the pulley.. but i cant see anything that would hit it lmk!

that thing is the ac compressor. i'd say the clutch is worn on it.

It actually sounds about normal, as best I can tell from a verbal description at least. Throw a belt on it and see what happens. It's not likely to cause any harm.

i'll put it on anyways since i need a belt..now i need to find a "suction pipe" that goes on the ps pump... aslgkja;slkgj;aslg

its probably bad by now. if ac compressor is not used = no oil recirculation= dried up seal and internals. remember there is a piston in there. i think ours is like a variable displacement type compressor.

but doesnt hurt you to try it out, though :p
