sorry for my ignorance but i'm having trouble removing the ac clutch off of the SR compressor. I unbolted what looked like the only bolt holding it on but it wont come off. do i just pry it off, havent tried yet-dont want to break it. any suggestions or experience here?????????

The reason i want it off is bc i want to try to put the sr ac clutch onto my ka24de compressor so the pulley will line up right, (using the black top ac bracket on redtop motor)

Hi

It usually requires a "removal tool" I've never done it on my 240 but lots of times on the Cadillac and Oldsmobile. Piece of cake with the tool, likely an all day nightmare without it.

Look here for the tools

I hear you can "rent" a tool at autozone to remove the AC clutch.

just ask to rent it...pay what it costs and then return it to get a full refund!
