Just a guess, your selector switch is set to defrost or defrost/floor?

If so, the A/C will automatically come on, as it helps dehumidify your interior faster.

Try moving the selector switch to vent/floor and the air selector switch to fresh (not recirculate) and it should be off when you turn on the climate controls.

the owner's manual says it's to keep the ac lubricated by operating it on occasion. Yes, it comes on in the defrost position.

I also suspect the car mixes ac and heat to produce less cooling on the temp control so if you have the ac on be sure the temp controll is fully ccw. If it gets too cool turn the fan down or crack open a window.

Ok Thanks,I played around with it ,And it seems that it stays on no matter what you do with the control knobs.I thought i check up to see if we have a problem no one knows about.
